Epiphany

How crazy is this? Fourteen years of life, and I only JUST figured out that the Disney character Goofy is a dog! I didn't know WHAT he was until I was randomly Googling Disney characters one day and saw that he is indeed a dog (an anthropomorphic dog, as Wikipedia calls it). Weird!

Two years later...

Hey, guys! I'm pretty sure no one will read this, but in case anyone does, how are y'all? I'm going to see BRAVE tonight - SO PUMPED!!!! Life's been great. Better than it's been in a loooooong time :)
I just read all the posts from the past, and I laughed at some of them. It made me think hmm maybe I should write on this again. I remember how much fun it was having a blog, so I think I'll start keeping up with this again. :D If anyone does read this, feel free to comment and let me know how you're doing!

God bless,
Noelle

Dance Show

I have a dance show tonight and tomorrow morning. It's called RHAPSODY IN BLUE because that's the song for the show. The song "Rhapsody In Blue," by George Gershwin, is a seventeen-minute song. That's the only song in the dance show. It takes place in the 1920s. I'm playing a little girl named June who wears a blue dress, has curly pigtails, and has a pink lollipop. I have four friends in the show who go to my old school: Harrison and Michael, who are seventh graders, and Paige and Madison, who are eighth graders. I'm excited, and I can't wait to perform! Wish me and my friends good luck! :D

Winter Show

Hey! Today was my first rehearsal for a winter show I will be performing in! It's a showcase for a voice teacher's students. Her name is Katharine Randolph and she is an excellent voice teacher. I have a solo in the show and I'll be doing two songs from A Year With Frog and Toad, a song from Legally Blonde, a song from A New World, a piece from A New Brain, another song from Into the Woods (the show that my solo is from), a song from Gypsy, one from Thoroughly Modern Millie, and a few others. I don't know if you all know any of these musicals or would be interested in seeing the show. I will give information on when and where the show will be. It might be in February at the latest. I can't help but wonder... is anyone reading my blog anymore? I can delete it if it's boring. Of course, I don't expect anybody to be full-time on the computer, and I know that blogs are getting boring nowadays, but is there anyone possibly reading my posts? Anybody?

Christmas!

Christmas Eve has passed; Christmas Day is here! I hope y'all got what you wanted for Christmas! I got a Juicy Couture dress and navy jacket, hot chocolate mix, the JULIE & JULIA DVD, the sixth 39 Clues book, Chicken Soup for the Soul Christmas Treasury, a make-up mirror, make-up, a starfish necklace, a nightgown, flip-flops with crystals on them, The Pointe Book, and a bunch of other things. I asked for ten books and two DVDs; I got two of the books I wanted and one of the DVDs. Yesterday the whole family came over and we ate and opened presents and watched football (which I found very boring). We had Crave Cupcakes and Bush De Noel for dessert (it's a French cake shaped like a yule log and is very delicious). We have the cake every year because of the name. We call it Bush de Noelle :). What did you do for the holidays? Are you on vacation or at home? Did you spend time with your family? Did you get what you wanted for Christmas? Comment below and tell me all about your Christmas vacation! I'd love to hear from you! Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! :D

Julie & Julia

When people ask me what my favorite movie is, I always say, "I don't know," because I love lots of movies and I don't have a favorite. Well, now I do. Some of y'all may have heard of it, some may have seen it. I saw it twice at the movie theater and I got the DVD today on Christmas Day. JULIE & JULIA has taught me a lot about cooking. The film is based on two true stories about Julia Child and Julie Powell. Julia Child, as some of you may know, wrote the infamous cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking with Simone Beck and Louisette Somebody (I forgot her last name). Using bits of Julia Child's book (My Life in France) and Julie Powell's book (Julie & Julia), the movie tells of Julia's learning how to cook, teach cooking class, and write the cookbook in Paris, France while her husband is working for the U.S. government. Julie's story is how she writes a blog about cooking all of the recipes in Julia's cookbook (365 days, 524 recipes). It's a very interesting movie. Some kids may find it boring, others may enjoy it a lot; I certainly did. You can learn a lot from it. I'll finish this post with Julia's favorite saying: Bon Appetit! :)
